HMS Chaser was an American-built Attacker-class escort carrier of the Royal Navy, commissioned in April 1943 under the Lend-Lease agreement after being built as the US freighter MORMACGULF and initially intended to be the USS Breton. The carrier spent most of her service escorting Arctic convoys, where her aircraft played a crucial role in anti-submarine warfare and helped sink German U-boats. In March 1945, she transferred to the British Pacific Fleet, serving with the Fleet Train to provide ai
