A sea otter pup recently stranded on the beach at Morro Bay 😰 Here’s how our San Luis Obispo team reunited Caterpillar with its mom👇 ⏳ Searched for mom by boat for 2 hours 🔊 Recorded & played the pup’s vocalizations over a Bluetooth speaker 👀 Watched a female otter following & approaching the boat many times 🦦 Placed the pup into the water for mom After Caterpillar and mom were reunited, the team watched for another hour to be sure the pair was safe. California sea lion pup Babymac was recently found in a parking lot — a dangerous spot far from where he should be 😰 Luckily, with help from our friends at Mountain View Police Department, our trained responders were able to rescue and transport him to our Sausalito hospital 🚑 During an admit exam, our veterinarians found Babymac was severely malnourished, very weak and much too young to be without his mom. After some time in care, his condition is improving and he's moved out of our intensive
