The Library of Congress has announced the 25 films that will be added to its National Film Registry. They include such films as “The Karate Kid,” “Clueless” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” alongside six silent films that date back all the way to 1896.
Today, the Library of Congress announced that it has selected 25 new films to add to the National Film Registry, preserving the titles for their cultural, historical, or aesthetic importance. Texas filmmakers and Houston natives Richard Linklater and Wes Anderson have both had films chosen for preservation.
